Fimir - Fimm Musician Assembled

The second member of the fimm unit steps off the assembly line, this time the musician. No hood this time, instead I gave this fellow a necklace of heavy bronze, similar to one I'd seen online. Happily a standard haft from the bits box provided the correct size discs. I still had to sculpt his neck, though it's hard to see in the photo. Again, the chaos spawn sprue offered another perfect tail. I'm really going to have to watch the tails for ranking.

  1. Great work! Never thought about cutting down a weapon haft for discs. I will have to keep that little trick in mind for later.

  2. Thanks! I wanted to mimic a Celtic necklace I'd seen, and these were just the right size. The discs work great for piles of coins too.

  5. I think the head is hight and not in the shoulders.

  6. You have a discerning eye sir! Yes, the head is a little higher than I would like. The torso is slightly more upright than the champion's though, which helps a little. I used the necklace in part to mitigate the height of the head. The neck is sculpted to do this too, but you can't really see it in the shot.

Still, lesson learned, I'll sculpt the rest to match the champion's head positioning more closely, methinks.
