H&A Castle - Update 3

The castle is now finished, thank the powers. It was quite a haul, but looking at it now, there will be many years of entertainment had fighting over this place. A very nice kit, with plenty of detail. The drawbridge has some chain and pins that come with it, presumably to attach it, but I'll leave that to the fellow I painted it for, as I can't fathom how they are put together. I suspect that one or more of the pins are missing. A small quibble though, as with frequent use it will be far more convenient to be able to easily lift the drawbridge when needed. Here are some more pictures of the finished model.

H&A Castle - Update 1

I've finished the first wall section for the Hudson & Allen Castle. It's a nice kit with a fair dose of detail. I'm assembling and painting it as is with no conversion, which for me is a little weird. There are a few interiors too, from a simple tower interior you see here to a large house interior for a more complex section, which I'll show later on down the road. I'm hoping to have this done pretty sharpish, though with 3 more identical wall sections to this one to do before I get to the more interesting parts, the next update won't be for a week or so.

It'll be a super sweet castle for sieges, which we're hoping to do once it's ready! Another mate of mine is taking care of the siege equipment so that we have a fully painted set done for sieges. I do have a siege tower I might paint up too if I have time...

Campaignhammer - It Lives Again!

After some small break, campaignhammer is off again. We had a bit of a bottleneck waiting for two sieges to be played, but using the new Blood in the Badlands siege rules (which worked really well for us) we got them done last weekend. My undead had a good run, winning both games with a little backstabbery from their new Druchii allies. If you want to take a gander, try here. There's almost a year of campaigning on the blog now, which I'm quite satisfied with as these things tend to fizzle out if let drift. Now though, there's a fresh injection of hate, which is the lifeblood of a good campaign!
