Fimir - New Heads
I just got an image back of my fimir heads cast in resin. Lovely crisp detailed resin, mmmmm... I'm so damn happy about this I could spit, for both the fact they look great and that the originals weren't lost in the post! That would have been a little not cool. Here they are anyway, for your delectation. No more greenstuff heads for me! Now I can concentrate on adding detail to the heads such as hoods, jewellery, scars and so on to individual models.
I also need to add that these are for my personal use, and will not be for sale.

Ooh, really nice! Especially the shouty one and the helmet. Did you get them professionally cast?
ReplyDeleteCheers Fimm. I did indeed get them professionally cast. My own efforts just weren't capturing the detail I wanted, and frankly, taking too long. Now I can have a decent stock of heads cast up all at once.
DeleteDid they do the resin casts or just the mould? Hoping to be producing my first multi-part cast figures very soon, silicone moulds and resin castings. Need to plan the models carefully though. Can I ask how much they charged?
DeleteThey did both. I'll PM you the details. Looking forward to seeing your figures.
Deleteamazingly cool - I have a full army of zoats and fimir that I count as necrons for 40k (Servants of the Old ones) - you can find them on www.lostinthewarp if you have any interest in checking it out.
ReplyDeleteWow, GREAT blog. Sweet army, I'm not surprised it took so long to collect the miniatures.
DeleteDo you sell your cast?
ReplyDeleteI can't unfortunately, as they are not my IP, and I don't want GW coming down on me with fire and vengeance.
DeleteDo you give your cast? ^_^
ReplyDeleteI do. I'm running kind of low right now, but when I order some more I'll add some in for you. How many are you looking for?
DeleteHello there. Your Fimir army is awesome. Is there still any change to get the heads or the cast from you? Nice greetz from germany
ReplyDeleteThanks very much. If you want heads, maybe talk to Mark Evans on the fimir Facebook page, he might be able to help. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1513847692178866/
